Kids learn to cook in Butler County

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – Biscuits, trail mix and chicken nuggets!

All yummy foods local kids learned how to cook Friday.

The Butler County Agricultural Extension Office hosts kid workshops and camps throughout the year to teach kids about nutrition and other important food and farm information.

Friday morning, local third through fifth graders gathered around a table to make dough for biscuits, make chicken nuggets, and mix up some trail mix.

The kids were having a blast measuring out ingredients and mixing them up.

The kids were then able to eat some of their creations!

Workers say these camps are fun for the children and teach them life skills.

They say they will be hosting another one during the Christmas season.
