According to an updated alert sent at 1:45 p.m., Kentucky State University received an all clear following Thursday’s campus safety threat.

The alert states main campus and Benson Farms can resume normal operations. Campus work will remain virtual for the remainder of the day.

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State University’s main campus in Frankfort has closed due to a potential threat.

According to an alert sent to WNKY News 40, students and faculty are being asked to leave the campus “calmly and immediately unless directed otherwise by law enforcement or University officials.”

The university asks the public not to approach or enter the campus until further notice.

According to a second alert, Benson Farm is also closed. Employees at Benson Farm may enter main campus only to retrieve their vehicles, but building may not be entered, according to the alert.
