Kentucky State Police investigating fatal collision in Pulaski County
Somerset, Ky. – According to a release from Kentucky State Police Post 11, on June 10, around 6 p.m., troopers responded to a fatal accident involving a vehicle and a motorcycle on KY3091 near the intersection of Wilson Rd.
Troopers say a preliminary investigation indicates a motorcycle driven by 34-year-old Nathan D. Grider of Somerset was driving South on KY3091 at a high rate of speed. At the same time, another vehicle driven by 32-year-old Shelby Crawford of Somerset made a left-hand turn onto Wilson Road when Grider struck the passenger side of Crawford’s vehicle.
Grider was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Crawford was also transported to the same hospital but was later released.
Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor.
The crash remains under investigation.
