Kentucky posts second-highest number of daily virus cases
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Gov. Andy Beshear has reported nearly 800 more coronavirus cases in Kentucky. He said Friday it’s the second-highest daily number since the pandemic began as the state struggles to stop a recent surge. The Democratic governor continued to warn that new restrictions could be reimposed unless the state is able to slow the virus’s spread. Beshear has already taken recent steps, including requiring that most people wear masks in public, to try to blunt the recent spike in cases. Beshear reported 797 new coronavirus cases Friday in Kentucky.
