Kentucky opens regional driver licensing office in Richmond

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky has a new regional driver licensing office in Richmond, where some services are available remotely. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the Richmond location is the 11th regional office newly opened or reopened to handle licensing needs during the coronavirus pandemic. The agency says anyone whose license, permit or ID card was lost or expired or will expire, anytime from March 1 through Feb. 28 and who doesn’t require testing, may apply for renewal or replacement remotely through the circuit court clerk in their county. Real IDs must be applied for in person.
