Kentucky Chamber recognizes Rep. Michael Meredith with 2026 MVP Award

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Rep. Michael Meredith is being honored with the Kentucky Chamber MVP Award.

The award was presented by Kentucky Chamber Senior Vice President of Public Affairs Kate Shanks and Manager of Public Affairs Annie Santos, recognizing his leadership during the 2026 Kentucky General Assembly, the chamber says.

The chamber says Meredith was among a group of legislators who “went above and beyond to advance policies that strengthen Kentucky’s economy, support employers and improve the Commonwealth’s competitiveness.”

Particularly, the chamber says recipients of this award show remarkable leadership for Kentucky’s business community through sponsorship or carrying “chamber priority legislation” to final passage, along with leading on key policy issues or “taking difficult votes in support a stronger business climate.”

Chamber officials say during the 2026 legislative session, Meredith “championed House Bill 306, legislation that strengthens criminal trespassing statues to improve workplace safety.”

According to the chamber, that measure was ultimately passed as part of House Bill 521.
