Judge executive orders burn ban in Metcalfe County

METCALFE COUNTY, Ky. – Metcalfe County is currently under a burn ban issued by judge executive Larry Wilson amid ongoing drought conditions.
According to the order, an open burning ban is in effect and was ordered on Wednesday, April 22.
The document further states the order includes the “lighting of fireworks and burning any material outdoors.”
The order says anyone caught setting or maintaining an outdoor fire could face fines or punishment.
The burn ban remains in effect until it is lifted by executive order.
