Some injuries more obvious than others in NHL playoffs

Playing through pain is part of the battle for the Stanley Cup. Few players are fully healthy deep into the playoffs. Montreal captain Shea Weber is playing through a left hand injury that sidelined him the final eight games of the regular season. Fellow Canadiens defenseman Jeff Petry had a trainer make a special glove to protect his injured right hand. There was no mistaking Petry’s bloodshot eyes from broken blood vessels under the corneas. An undisclosed “upper-body” ailment is keeping Vegas center Chandler Stephenson out.
