PGA Tour to end COVID-19 testing after 50 official events

The PGA Tour will have required COVID-19 testing at 50 official events when testing stops. The tour says in a memo to players that testing will no longer be required as a condition of competition the week after the British Open. The tour says the vaccination rate and other positive trends allow it to move on. That means no more mandatory testing at tournaments for players or for the pro-ams. But testing will be available for those who have symptoms, and there could still be periodic tests depending on local and state guidelines.
