PARIS (AP) — For an audience with the “King of Clay,” the current queen of clay wants to be come prepared. French Open champion Iga Swiatek says she readied some talking points before hitting balls in a training session in Paris with her idol, 13-time Roland Garros winner Rafael Nadal. The pre-tournament workout between the men and women’s defending champions made a splash on social media. Swiatek says she got a thrill being on the receiving end of the spinning Nadal forehand that most opponents dread. Swiatek turned 20 Monday and got her title defense rolling with a straight-sets first-round win.
