Kentucky reports 58 virus-related deaths

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky officials are reporting 58 new deaths related to COVID-19. Thursday marked the second straight day the state reported a number exceeding 50. But Gov. Andy Beshear says the state continues to see declining daily case rates. Kentucky is close to recording a fourth straight week of lower case numbers. Beshear says the state is also seeing a lower rate of deaths in long-term-care facilities. Beshear also announced two new regional vaccine centers in Covington and Bowling Green that opened on Thursday.
