IndyCar driver Rinus VeeKay injured in cycling accident

Rinus VeeKay was injured in a cycling accident and will miss IndyCar’s race at Road America in Wisconsin this weekend. Ed Carpenter Racing says VeeKay had surgery to repair a broken left clavicle. The 20-year-old Dutchman was injured on a cycling trail during a training ride. VeeKay posted a photo Monday of himself cycling alongside his trainer captioned “Riding to Chicago” after a weekend of racing in Detroit. Oliver Askew will replace VeeKay at Road America.
