WIMBLEDON, England (AP) — Hubert Hurkacz was 6 years old when Roger Federer won his first Wimbledon title. Hurkacz will try to foil Federer’s latest attempt at winning a ninth championship at the All England Club. Hurkacz will be playing in his first Grand Slam quarterfinal Wednesday and is going up against the player that he grew up idolizing. He says playing Federer in the quarters is “really amazing.” Hurkacz earned that matchup by coming from behind to beat No. 2-seeded Daniil Medvedev in five sets in a match suspended overnight because of rain.
