Girl power: Female engineers pushing IndyCar teams to wins

The last three IndyCar races have been won by drivers who have female engineers on their teams, a trend that could continue Sunday at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. IndyCar has several teams that have women in high-profile roles and that includes Chip Ganassi Racing. Ganassi has a female engineer that also this year became the first women to go over the wall during a pit stop. The technical nature of the open-wheel series has provided more opportunities for women to advance in the sport in roles traditionally filled by men.
