14 students injured in school bus crash; other driver killed

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Officials say a crash involving a Kentucky school bus on Tuesday morning left 14 students injured and killed the driver of a passenger vehicle. Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman Beth Ruoff told news outlets that a red Kia hit the bus as it was attempting to cross Ballardsville Road. She said the woman driving the Kia died at the scene. Jefferson County Public Schools spokeswoman Renee Murphy said the bus was carrying about 60 students to middle and high schools. Norton Healthcare spokeswoman Maggie Roetker said a total of 14 children were treated at area hospitals and all were in good condition.
