Hudson, Gatorade award grant to Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local standout athlete is giving back to the community.
McLaine Hudson, a Bowling Green native and 2026 Gatorade Kentucky Softball Player of the Year, and Gatorade are awarding a $1,000 grant to Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky.
Gatorade awards all Player of the Year recipients a $1,000 grant to the non-profit of their choice.
“We’re super grateful that McLaine chose DSSKY to benefit from the Gatorade Player of the Year grant. We are excited to be able to provide jerseys for our players in our 2027 Hardwood Heroes game,” said Stephanie Morton, Executive Director for Down Syndrome of Southern KY.
Hudson led the South Warren Lady Spartans Softball team to its first state championship in June.
Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky enhances the quality of life for individuals with Down syndrome and their families by providing support, information, education, resources, networking, and activities.
