Hot Rods fall short in High-A East Championship Game Three

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Hot Rods lost their second straight game of the High-A East Championship to the Greensboro Grasshoppers, 6-5.

In an offensive slug, both sides put up a combined seven runs within the first three innings. Grant Witherspoon continued his successful season, launching a two-run dinger in the bottom of the first inning. He finished 2-4 with 2 RBIs.

Tomorrow’s game at BG Ballpark is a must win for the Hot Rods. If they lose, the Grasshoppers will win the High-A East Championship. First pitch for game four of the series is set for 6:35 p.m.
