Hopkinsville man charged with drug trafficking after investigation

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. – A Hopkinsville man is charged with drug trafficking.

According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, deputies executed a search warrant at a home in connection with a drug investigation on Locust Street Wednesday morning.

Deputies say they located 2 ounces of suspected meth, two digital scales, suspected marijuana, a glass smoking pipe, and an AK-47 rifle inside the home.

During the investigation, authorities arrested 31-year-old Jeffery Wade of Hopkinsville.

Wade is charged with drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, trafficking in marijuana ( less than 8 oz.) first offense, and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, 2nd or > offense (> or = 2 grams methamphetamine). He was lodged at the Christian County Jail.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Crime Unit is leading the investigation.
