Grayson County motorcyclist flown for treatment after crash

GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. – A Grayson County man was flown for treatment after a crash.

According to K105, Grayson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a motorcycle crash between Caneyville and Falls of Rough Friday afternoon.

The accident happened in the 5100 block of Hopewell Road (Hwy 2804) near the intersection of Falls of Rough Road (Hwy 79).

First responders told K105 that a motorcycle, driven by a 58-year-old Grayson County man, was traveling west over a hill and could not stop after encountering a truck hauling hay bales.

The truck and trailer were pulling out of a driveway, traveling east. The motorcycle crashed into the trailer that was in the westbound lane.

First responders told K105 that the motorcyclist was tossed 10 to 15 feet.

The motorcyclist was transported to Caneyville Elementary School to be flown by medical helicopter to a Louisville area hospital.

The driver of the truck and trailer was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
