Gov. Beshear pauses weekly COVID conferences
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Good news tonight from Gov. Andy Beshear, who said every metric associated with COVID-19 is on the decline.
Just a couple hours ago, Beshear gave his final weekly COVID update.
The governor was happy to report that the state’s positivity rate is just over four percent, and two thirds of all Kentuckians have been vaccinated.
“While this pandemic is still with us, things continue to move in the right direction and they are continuing to move at a regular pace,” said Beshear.
Beshear said that, as needed, he will keep Kentuckians informed of the virus.
“If today is the last update we give, living with COVID is not ignoring COVID. It is having the information to be empowered to make the right decision and to protect ourselves.”
The Kentucky Department of Public Health will continue to update and post the state COVID map and include information about vaccinations and health guidance at kycovid19.ky.gov.
