Gourmet milkshakes come to town with the BG Shakery

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- If you have a sweet tooth…you’re in luck. The BG Shakery just opened up off of Scottsville Road!

The locally owned store specializes in different types of gourmet milkshakes from cookie dough blitz to chocolate sensation to caramel delight. 

Owner Brandon Farley says this has been a dream of his for a few years…he’s always wanted to open his own store. 

The kids here today were loving the delicious treats. 

“Cotton candy, sprinkles. It’s yummy,” said one girl. 

“It was yummy in my tummy,” said another young customer. 

Farley said most of his staff are high school students. He wanted the BG Shakery to be a great first job for kids. 

“It’s a great experience with customer sales, selling the apparel, being in the community and feeling out their foothold of where they want to go in life, career wise. Sales, customer service, whatever it is, it’s a great starting job.”

They are donating 10% of the proceeds from the grand opening to the Center for Courageous Kids. 

BG Shakery is located at 2800 Scottsville Road. Their hours of operation are Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday-Saturday 11 a.m.- 10 p.m.
