Glasgow traffic stop results in chase, foot pursuit
GLASGOW, Ky. – Police arrested a Glasgow man on multiple charges following a traffic stop and short foot pursuit.
Glasgow Police Officer Joshua Hardin conducted a traffic stop Tuesday on East Cherry Street in Glasgow.
Upon stopping the vehicle, the driver, later identified as Thomas Stone, exited the vehicle while it was still moving and ran off before being apprehended on Pace Avenue, according to a release from GPD. The report shows that methamphetamine and marijuana were found.
Thomas L. Stone, of Glasgow, was arrested and charged with no registration plates, failure to produce insurance card, second-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance first offense, operating motor vehicle under influence third offense, first-degree possession of a control substance third or greater offense (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, operating on suspended or revoked operators license and possession drug paraphernalia.
Stone was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center. His bond is set at $5,000.
