Glasgow Police trade tickets for $100 bills

GLASGOW, Ky. – Most people are none too thrilled to be pulled over by the police.

However, Monday night, lucky people in Glasgow walked away from traffic stops $100 richer.

The Police Department teamed up with River Lake Church and Bridge Kentucky for their annual Let Hope In – a mission to bless the community before Christmas time.

The Glasgow Police Department handed out hundred dollar bills on traffic stops.

Glasgow Police Department’s Officer A.J. Moore said, “It’s good to just be able to give back to the community. For once when you’re pulling someone over you get to see a smile on their face.”

Christopher Marsh was fixing his neighbor’s car in the Walmart parking lot when Officer Moore and River Lake Church gave him $100.

“This will go a long way. I lost my job,” said Moore. “I’ve really been trying to meet ends and stuff like that. My water bill is due and I had no way to pay it. Now I do.”

The Police Department and River Lake Church, with the help of Bridge Kentucky, gave out $2,400 dollars.
