Glasgow Police Department to conduct traffic safety checkpoints through July

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints from July 3 through July 31.

According to police, the checkpoints will include but not be limited to Columbia Avenue, West Main Street, North Jackson Highway and Happy Valley Road.

During this time, officers say they will be enforcing laws related to driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, licensing of motor vehicles and drivers, registration and insurance, seat belt and child restraint and motor vehicle equipment violations.

Police say the checkpoints promote safety of the public and are used throughout the Commonwealth.
