Glasgow man charged with assault, robbery after altercation

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow man is charged with assault and robbery after an altercation.
According to a uniform citation, the Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to TJ Samson Community Hospital for an alleged assault complaint on Oct. 30.
Deputies spoke with a man who said 25-year-old Christopher Parker of Glasgow assaulted him.
Parker allegedly assaulted the man, with whom he shares a residence, and stole his jacket, cellphone and $12.
Deputies say the man sustained “serious trauma to the face, especially to his eyes,” according to the citation.
Deputies could not locate Parker at the residence but later located him on Tuesday.
Parker allegedly told deputies he assaulted the man and took the items. He told deputies that the fight was caused by a dispute over a $112 debt and that the man allegedly stole 27 Klonopin from him.
Parker told deputies he struck the man multiple times, according to the citation.
Deputies arrested Parker and transported him to the Barren County Detention Center.
Parker is charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree assault.
The investigation is ongoing.
