Glasgow man accused of sending and receiving sexually explicit images with child

GLASGOW, Ky. – On Feb. 23, New York State Police contacted the Glasgow Police Department to alert them of a report that a Glasgow man had been sending and receiving sexually explicit images to and from a 12-year-old in New York, according to Glasgow police.

The 12-year-old identified Rex Wayne Stinson, 22, of Glasgow by name and address, according to his citation.

An IP address also identified the same address.

A search warrant was executed at Stinson’s residence on Tick Ridge Road where officers collected numerous computers, laptops and other electronic devices, according to his citation.

Stinson’s citation shows he was mirandized and agreed to speak with police claiming he and the minor had been in a relationship for over a year.

He admitted to police that he and the child had used social media sites to video chat one another while performing sex acts on themselves shown on the video screen, according to the citation.

Stinson’s citation shows he knew the girl was only 12, what he was doing was wrong and he was surprised he had not yet been caught.

After reviewing evidence from the social media sites, police found at least 70 explicit images of the 12-year-old, two of a 9-year-old, and 18 images of Stinson’s genitalia which he had sent the 12-year-old on the social media sites, according to his citation.

Stinson is charged with promoting a minor under 16 in a sex performance, using electronic communication systems to procure a minor in sex offenses, and possession of matter that portrays sexual performance by a minor.

He is lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
