Friday update: Coronavirus numbers in south central Kentucky

Friday, 1,457 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Kentucky. The commonwealth has now seen 93,748 total cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

16 more Kentuckians have died from the virus Friday. That brings the total number of lives lost in Kentucky to 1,396.

According to the Barren River District Health Department, there have been 8,987 total cases in the surrounding counties combined since the start of the pandemic. 7,431 have recovered.

– BARREN COUNTY: 1088 (+18)

– LOGAN COUNTY: 757 (+18)

– BUTLER COUNTY: 417 (+5)

– ALLEN COUNTY: 521 (+5)

– SIMPSON COUNTY: 348 (+5)

– HART COUNTY: 353 (+18)

– EDMONSON COUNTY: 199 (+4)

– METCALFE COUNTY:194 (+4)
