Former Purple Patrick Forbes hits first career home runs at Louisville

LOUISVILLE – Former Bowling Green Purple, Patrick Forbes has had an incredible start to his career as a Louisville Cardinal.

Forbes hit his first career home run yesterday afternoon in the bottom of the second, but didn’t stop there, notching his second as well in the 4th.

The Mr. Kentucky Baseball winner is just a freshman and has made an instant impact for one of the top programs in the country.

Forbes is happy to add momentum to a stacked Louisville squad.

“The pitching staff was really good today,” Forbes said. “We didn’t give up a single run, so it was great for them to get a good confidence booster and move into Houston.”
