Firehouse Subs gives $13k grant to Richardsville FD
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Richardsville Fire Department is now better equipped to save lives, thanks to our local Firehouse Subs.
The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation gave the department a $13,209 grant to purchase much needed extrication equipment.
The equipment is used to quickly extricate victims trapped in a vehicle after an automobile accident.
On Saturday, Firehouse Subs held a small ceremony to celebrate the grant and the need that will now be fulfilled in our community.
“You know we’re just really grateful that our Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has awarded the Richardsville Fire Department the funds. And what better way to support the Public Safety Foundation than to support our local Firehouse Subs restaurant,” said Richardsville Fire Department Chief Brian Lee.
“This is our third grant year and we’ve given over $48,000 just in Bowling Green and in the state of Kentucky we’ve donated over $985,000 so far,” said Firehouse Subs owner Tina Boling.
During the most recent grant cycle, the Foundation awarded 127 grants to public safety organizations throughout the country.
