Firefighters rescue fawn trapped in Indiana floodwaters

CAMBY, Ind. – The Madison Township Fire Department in Indiana is sharing how teamwork helped save a fawn caught in floodwater.
According to a social media post by the department, units dispatched to the 1300 block of North Mann Road shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
While crews were clearing the scene after a driver safely reached land from a submerged vehicle, the department says a fawn was heard being carried downstream.
Capt. Joe Sinclair entered the water and rescued the fawn, bringing it safely back to shore. Medics on scene provided aid until the deer could be transferred to a local animal rescue, according to the department.
Mutual aid included Brown Township Fire-Rescue, Mooresville Fire Department and Morgan County Public Safety Dispatch.
