Field fire burns at least 30 acres of wheat in Barren County
BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Multiple departments responded Saturday to a reported field fire in Barren County.
According to Temple Hill Fire Chief Barry Garrett, units were dispatched at 3:45 p.m. Saturday to the 1100 block of Mount Pleasant Road near the Roseville community in Barren County.
Garrett says 30 acres of wheat caught fire while individuals were cutting the wheat, which caused sparks against a rock.
He says no injuries were reported.
According to Garrett, units were on scene for roughly two hours. He says five total departments responded, including Temple Hill, East Barren, Flippin Fire Department, South Barren and Austin Tracy.
