FDA approves booster vaccines for some; T.J. Samson prepares for booster clinics

GLASGOW, Ky. – The FDA just approved another booster shot for people 50-years-old and older and for people 12-years-old and up who are immunocompromised.

People who fit these categories can get their next doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines after four months since their last Covid-19 vaccine. This applies to everyone, including people who got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine first.

T.J. Samson in Glasgow is making plans to set up their booster clinics again to prepare for the new wave of people anxious to get this next booster as soon as possible.

“I do not think there will be a long wait period to get it. I think we will have a community vaccine clinic scheduled very soon, just within the next few weeks, and people will be able to come in and get that very easily. You’ll have easy access to it.”

These vaccines will eventually become available in the T.J. Samson Community Hospital and the T.J. Health Pavilion.

T.J. Samson will post on their social media when the clinics are up and running.
