BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – ‘Field of Dreams’ fans had the opportunity to meet an icon Sunday afternoon at BG Ballpark.

Dwier Brown who played John Kinsella, father of Kevin Costner’s character in the 1989 flick, signed autographs and took photos with fans during the Hot Rods game!

‘Field of Dreams’ is about a farmer following his dreams and building a baseball diamond.

The first 200 kids through the gate received a Franklin bat and ball set. those who stuck around till after the game got to have a catch with Dwier!

“In the movie it says if you build it, he will come and the player rose from the dead and came,” said fan Braxton.

“You know Field of Dreams was 34 years ago, so to see young kids who have already seen the movie and are in love with it is kinda fantastic because it’s a generation ago that we shot it and it’s neat to see the enthusiasm from the young ones,” said Brown.

Brown said he was supposed to come out to a Hot Rods game a few years ago, but the pandemic held off his visit until now.
