Drug Task Force to auction cars

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Drug Task Force announced they will be auctioning cars off next Thursday in front of the old courthouse.

The proceeds of the auction come back to the Drug Task Force with exception to 15% which goes to the commonwealth attorney’s office.

The money is used to purchase new vehicles for the task force which must be changed out every couple of years in order to keep drug dealers from recognizing the detectives.

The cars being auctioned are either cars forfeited by drug dealers as well as detective cars.

The range of cars being sold is from a 1995 Dodge Dakota with 208,000 miles all the way up to a 2018 Ford Escape with only 8,000 miles.
