Design the Future of Kentucky Ag: License Plate Contest for 4-H and FFA Members!
FRANKFORT, KY – July 4, 2025 – The Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA) is launching a new “Friends of Kentucky Agriculture” specialty license plate, and they want Kentucky 4-H and FFA members to design it!
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and support agriculture in Kentucky. The winning design will appear on license plates statewide and help fund Kentucky FFA, 4-H, and Kentucky Proud programs. The selected student designer will also receive a $500 award.
This new plate will be available for any Kentucky driver, not just production farmers, expanding support for agriculture. While current farm plate holders should keep their plates, all other ag supporters can purchase the new “Friends of Kentucky Agriculture” plate in early 2026.
The contest is open to all active 4-H and FFA members from June 1 to September 5, 2025. The winner will be announced by October 1, 2025.
