Deputies investigating after body found in Scott County

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after a body was found on Tuesday.

According to a social media post by the agency, around 4 p.m. Tuesday, deputies received a call regarding a dead individual located at Triport Road in Georgetown.

Authorities say detectives with the Criminal Investigations Section responded to the scene and have no cause of death determined at this time.

Deputies say the Scott County Coroner’s Office will transport this individual to the Kentucky State Police Central Laboratory for an autopsy.

The investigation is ongoing.
