Daviess County man arrested by Kentucky State Police on sexual offense charges

OWENSBORO, Ky. – A Daviess County man is behind bars on multiple sexual offense charges.
According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers arrested 50-year-old Juan Luis Mendez Segovia of Owensboro on Tuesday following a month-long investigation into allegations involving a juvenile.
Segovia was arrested around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
Authorities say the investigation revealed Segovia “engaged in a sexual relationship with a juvenile.”
Segovia is charged with two counts of human trafficking – sex activity and one count of procuring or promoting use of a minor by electronic means.
He remains at the Daviess County Detention Center. The investigation remains ongoing.
