Cyber Monday at a local business

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Black Friday is over and Cyber Monday is here. Local stores are giving discounts on online items making today one of the biggest sales days of the year.

Pink Lily is a national store created in 2014 out of Bowling Green that sells clothing and jewelry online.

The boutique has been gearing up for Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales for over a month.

Over the past few days, workers have been filling orders 24 hours a day shipping out over 5,000 orders every day, which is more than double a normal day.

“Our Black Friday deals were so good that we got so overwhelmed by the amount of customers that were shopping on our website that our website crashed for a minute. But, we got it back as fast as we could,” said Heidi Barks, Pink Lily Photographer.

This year is the biggest Cyber Monday Pink Lily has seen.

Barks says the company donates a portion of their profits to charity. This year, Pink Lily donated $5,000 to Toys for Tots.

“Pink Lily is truly family to me at this point. It’s not just a job I come in to and I work my eight hours and I’m gone. I know that I’m coming into a whole other family,” said Barks.
