Crews find body of Kentucky man who vanished in Ohio River

CHARLESTOWN, Ind. (AP) — Indiana conservation officers have recovered the body of a Kentucky man, two days after he vanished in the Ohio River. The body of 52-year-old Harold Snook of Crestwood, Kentucky, was pulled from the river Monday morning in an area about a half-mile south of where he went missing Saturday night near Fourteen Mile Creek in Charlestown. Snook’s death remains under investigation. Law enforcement and emergency responders from both Indiana and Kentucky used sonar and boat searches to scour the area where Snook was last seen. Charlestown is located along the Ohio River, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) northeast of Louisville, Kentucky.
