Community remembers Larry Walker

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local business owner, well known in the community was laid to rest Thursday in Bowling Green.

Larry Walker, the owner of Walker Towing and Recovering, died Monday.

Thursday morning, a drive through parade was held in his honor and featured first responders and old cars, which was a passion of Walker’s.

Walker had contracted COVID-19. After recovering complications from the virus lead to pneumonia and a blood clot killing the 69-year-old.

Walker was known throughout the community for founding Cruisin’ for a Cure, which raised hundreds of thousands of dollars towards children’s diabetes research.

Walker was buried in the Bowling Green Gardens on Lovers Lane.
