Communities gather at local Christmas parades

After being rescheduled, the city of Bowling Green rang in the Christmas season on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Organizers say the event was the largest in its history.

About 100 floats, cars and motorcycles started at the downtown square and ended at 6th Avenue and State Street.

Children and families had the opportunity to not only get some candy, but also enjoy beautiful weather with the community.

WNKY had the opportunity to participate, showing off our NFL gear with the Super Bowl airing on CBS this February.

High school bands, the Bowling Green Hot Rods and even Santa made the afternoon a memorable one for all in attendance.

Over in Barren County, Glasgow had a party of their own last night.

The theme of the night was the 12 Days of Christmas.

Festivities began at Glasgow High School and ended in the downtown square.

Of course, SoKY and the gang had a great time celebrating on their Super Bowl float.
