Chase through Bowling Green ends in two arrests

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Tuesday morning, three police agencies were involved in a chase through the streets of Bowling Green.

Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower said a deputy observed a vehicle sitting at Lonnie White Boat Ramp while doing a patrol of the area.

Upon turning into the parking lot, the driver, later identified as Joseph Raby, 36, of Bowling Green, sped away and emergency equipment was unable to stop the vehicle.

The vehicle was reported stolen out of Brownsville.

With assistance from Kentucky State Police and the Bowling Green Police Department, after a short time, the pursuit came to an end and Raby was taken into custody. He is charged with Tuesday morning, three police agencies were involved in a chase through the streets of Bowling Green.

Raby was charged with 18 counts of first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, speeding 15 mph over the limit, reckless driving, operating on suspended license, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, first-degree fleeing and evading police by motor vehicle, theft by unlawful taking or disposition of an automobile $500 or more but under $10,000, tampering with physical evidence, first-degree possession of controlled substance first offense (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree criminal mischief.

Passenger Mya Bailey, 40, of Bowling Green, was also lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail on charges of receiving stolen property under $10,000, tampering with physical evidence, first-degree possession of a controlled substance third or greater offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.
