Cave City Police alerting public of increasing “ding-dong ditch” incidents

CAVE CITY, Ky. – The Cave City Police Department is receiving numerous complaints of individuals ringing doorbells and running away.

According to a social media post, the “ding-dong ditch” incidents are occurring after dark.

CCPD says the acts can lead to dangerous situations and encourages individuals to speak to their children about the risks involved.

Officers will be increasing patrols in neighborhoods with high-frequency incidents, according to the social media post.
