Cave City murder suspect charged with drug possession inside of jail

GLASGOW, Ky.- A Nashville man being held in the Barren County Detention Center on a murder charge is now facing additional charges.

According to the Glasgow Police Department, Devonja Sweat, 22, had the synthetic drug, spice, in his possession inside the jail.

Sweat, was charged with possession of synthetic drugs, first-degree promoting contraband and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sweat is one of two people charged with murder in the death of Keshawn Sarver, who was found dead inside a residence on Glenwood Court in Cave City last January.
