MORGANTOWN, Ky. – A Butler County-based bank is giving back to two community organizations.

According to a release, Morgantown Bank & Trust donated $4,775 each to the Butler County Boys & Girls Club and the Butler County Animal Shelter at a check presentation Tuesday.

The donations were made possible by a recent auction of furnishings from the bank’s former main office location in Morgantown.

Sandy Mills of Mills Real Estate & Auction Company and Bruce White of White Real Estate presented a donation of $477.70 to both the Butler County Boys & Girls Club and the Butler County Animal Shelter, according to the release.

“This is a great example of what can happen when local organizations come together with a shared goal of giving back,” said Jason Jones, President of Morgantown Bank & Trust.
