Bridge damaged by flooding in Edmonson County reopens

EDMONSON COUNTY, Ky. – The KY 187 (Sunfish Road) bridge over Sunfish Creek in Edmonson County has reopened, transportation officials say.

On Wednesday, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet confirmed some of its District Three crews were deployed early Wednesday morning to start repairing the bridge.

Officials say the repairs were completed, and the bridge opened Wednesday afternoon.

A full assessment of the bridge by KYTC District Three bridge inspectors was completed earlier in the week, according to officials.

The bridge closed over the weekend due to flooding and damage.
