Bowling Green teen shot multiple times in drive-by shooting

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green teen suffered multiple gunshot wounds Tuesday night during a drive-by shooting in the Old Barren River Road area.

The 16-year-old victim told police he was driving in the area of Old Barren River Road and Woodford Avenue when a vehicle pulled up beside him and shot at him multiple times, according to the Bowling Green Police Department Facebook page.

Bowling Green police responded to North Lee Drive after receiving a call at 8:08 p.m. The call said a teen had been shot multiple times.

The teen was flown to a trauma center in Nashville, and his condition has not been made publicly available.

Bowling Green detectives do not believe the incident to be an act of random violence, according to the Facebook post.
