Bowling Green man charged with assault following alleged altercation in Christian County

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is charged with assault following an incident in Hopkinsville.
According to a uniform citation, the Hopkinsville Police Department responded to Pennyrille Personal Care home located at 502 Noel Avenue to a report of a disturbance Thursday afternoon.
Officers say that 43-year-old Michael Watt, of Bowling Green, was involved in a physical altercation with another individual, leading to both falling off a loading dock.
Watt allegedly pushed the victim into a rock bed and kicked them in the head multiple times, according to the citation.
Officers say the victim was unresponsive for a “few minutes” and sustained lacerations to the face and head trauma.
Watt was arrested and is charged with second-degree assault. He was lodged at the Christian County Detention Center.
According to WKDZ, the victim was transported to Jennie Stuart Health for treatment.
The investigation is ongoing.
