Bowling Green Fraternal Order of Police holds Shop with a Cop

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Fraternal Order of Police finished up Shop with a Cop at Meijer.

This annual event is funded by local donations and the BG FOP and makes Christmas happen for around 100 local kids.

At the conclusion, the FOP ended up purchasing around 20 carts full of toys filling up a total of six vehicles to be delivered to the Boys and Girls Club of Bowling Green.

Robert Perry, the President of the BG FOP says they usually shop with the children, but this year and last year, things changed due to COVID.

He says it is a great opportunity for law enforcement to interact positively with the community.

Shop with a Trooper will happen on Thursday also at Meijer and will be hosted by Kentucky State Police.
