BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Fire Department is hosting a paver ceremony at Fire Station 7 on May 13.

The event honors those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, as well as those who dedicated their lives and careers to protecting Bowling Green residents.

The pavers will be placed around the Firefighter Memorial Monument, which was dedicated in 2022, and fulfills the vision of First Station 7 by honoring tradition, services and sacrifice.

“A vision was cast years ago from many who are now retired that will soon come to fruition in the placement of pavers to honor others. The Firefighter Memorial Monument was designed and crafted entirely by the hands of Bowling Green firefighters, and stands as a lasting testament to the honor, integrity, and professionalism of our community of firefighters,” said Bowling Green Fire Chief Justin Brooks.

The ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m. on May 13 at 385 Lovers Lane.

The community is encouraged to come out and support those who protect Bowling Green.
